Edventure's food season short courses free for FFN members

As there are about a dozen things I want to cover in depth, but only have time, even on a Sunday afternoon, for one, do take note of Edventure's next two short courses as part of a collab with the FFN:

Making growing & farming into a business, Oct 18
With contributions from Sue from Root Connections, Hannah at Meadowsweet, Cordelia from Vallis Veg, and yours truly, this workshop will explore how to make growing food and rearing livestock into a business that's of benefit to the land and the communities reliant on it.

Setting up a food business, Nov 22
A workshop for street food traders, budding cafe owners, aspiring restaurateurs and anyone else wanting to make sustainability a major part of their food business. Contributors include me, Rye Bakery, photographer and marketer Natasha Milne, and Future Shed.

If you'd like to come but would rather not pay the administration fee, simply enter 'Team' at Eventbrite's checkout.

Acknowledgements
In other news, thank yous are due to Paula of Get Pickled and Samantha of Bountiful Earth and Avon Gleaning Network for hosting the network's latest jolly.

As they also are to those who made the FFN stall at The Frome Independent such as success last week – Dowdings for the apple pressing, 42 Acres for the mushroom logs, Avon Gleaning Network for the apples, Frome Food Hub for the tombola, Claire Jefferies for the local producer map, and of course TFI.

Oh and before I go rustle up an Old Burford salad, Caroline of Field2Fork is looking for more initiatives who want a stall at the upcoming Pumpkin Day on the 30th. Get in touch – wisebloompermaculture@gmail.com
