FFN @ Future Shed Friday, April 28th
What food-related events do you want to see in Frome?
As some of you know, the FFN is officially coming into residency with Future Shed, and there's some Climate Action Fund money to boot.
Future Shed is in the planning stages of what this will look like, but the gist is a defined period of 'network of action' with a group such as the FFN, to design, create, and deliver funded activities and public engagement (events, workshops, awareness-raising, training, and so on).
What we don't fully yet know however is on what exact activities the funds will be spent.
And so, here's where you come in – within the intersection of food, health, and climate, what local activities would you like to see or support? Is there a workshop or event you'd like to host? And in what ways do you think we can best engage new audiences?
Come and have a say at the FFN's next Future Shed Friday meetup, taking place from 10am to 12 noon on the 28th April at the Welshmill Hub. Save your spot
If you can't make it in person, there will be ways to contribute and make sure your ideas are included.
I'm drawing up thoughts for activities from the 'vision for 2030' that we've gathered so far from FFN meetups, and will share these a few days before April's gathering.
But to give you an example of what's currently in the pipeline, The FFN is working with Future Shed for support or to co-host these events for GBGW in June:
Lo Rapitenc's Market Menu, in collaboration with Somerset Farmers Markets
A Young People's Food Sustainability Workshop with Science Boost CIC
This Food is Rubbish: Zero-waste pop-up dinner with artist and chef Cherry Truluck
More on that soon...
